My wake-up call today was Willow deciding to leave her bed and curl up next to my head to purr at top volume at about 6 a.m.

Since she's about 40% subwoofer by weight and has a window-rattling purr, it was impossible to sleep through but not a terrible way to wake up.

The Nuggets are slowly getting used to the new place. We got them new collars, and they're back to their playful selves. The one downside is the zoomies at 3am that don't let us sleep.

If the need for validation had a face, this would be that face. Also, he would go by Simon for short.

My cats aren't actual siblings, as in they weren't born from the same mother and one is a year older than the other, but also today I noticed that the one single catnip toy that wasn't MIA was this little mouse, so I made them a DIY toy with an old sock, some crumpled packing paper, and catnip spray, so they wouldn't compete over it.

...And now they are competing over the sock, so I guess they are siblings enough.

Soot lost Mr. Mouse, her previous favorite toy.

After a couple of weeks, she has selected this one, which I dub Ms. Cherry, to be her favorite toy.

I bought a half dozen of these because I knew she'd destroy/lose them. She only plays with her 'favorite', goodness knows how she decides. But once she does, she carries it around and demands I throw it.

In the midst of event planning chaos this sleepy little dude is keeping me sane. (He's also stolen my chair, which is business as usual.)
